About Us
The Department of Anaesthesiology provides anaesthesia and pain management services in and outside the main Operating Theatre suite. The goal of anaesthesia care is to allow the patients to undergo surgical or other medical procedures with minimal discomfort while minimizing the risk to achieve the best result possible. With a team of experienced anaesthetic specialists we aim to maintain the highest standard possible and ensure the safety of all our patients.

Our Services
In the main Operating Theatre suite
The main operating suite includes 10 operating rooms. We provide anaesthesia care for a wide range of surgical disciplines including the following.

Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental Surgery, ENT Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Obstetric & Gynaecological Surgery, Ophthalmic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Urological Surgery.

Up to date monitoring and equipment are used to ensure the safety of all patients. Fully equipped and staffed recovery area ensures the patients recover form anaesthesia before they return to the wards.

Outside the main Operating Theatre suite
Anaesthesia care is also provided to some of the patients undergoing procedures at the cataract surgical centre, endoscopy suite, cardiac catheterization & intervention centre, IVF centre, Plastic & Reconstructive Day Surgery centre, Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology, and Department of Radiotherapy.

Our service is to ensure the comfort and safety of the patients who need anaesthesia or additional care during procedures which maybe more complicated.

In the labour suite we also provide an epidural analgesia services for prospective mothers
Prospective mothers can now be relieved of excruciating pain with the help of epidural analgesia. Painless delivery can reduce their fear of childbirth and postpartum fatigue, allowing them to rest during the first stage of labour and saving physical strength for the delivery.
