Hong Kong International Medical & Health Care Fair 2007

The Hospital took part in the Hong Kong International Medical & Health Care Fair 2007 held from 16 to 20 August 2007 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The theme of the exhibition this year was “Minimally Invasive and Beyond”, showcasing a wide variety of latest technologies and treatments to visitors worldwide.

The Virtual Hospital exhibition took all visitors to the New Horizons in Minimally Invasive Surgery, where they could learn about how our state-of-the-art equipment like da Vinci S Robotic Surgical System and Navigation System could bring about superior surgical outcomes. Also featured in the area was the first MR Guided Focused Ultrasound ever introduced in Hong Kong, which heralded an era of non-invasive treatment of uterine fibroid.

As themed “Minimally Invasive and Beyond”, the HKSH booth featured comprehensive minimally invasive surgery and treatment in wide-ranging specialities. Series of videos and animations showed how surgeries were performed with minimal surgical trauma by the synthesis of our highly skilled surgeons and sophisticated equipment.

Besides learning about our advances in surgery, over 1,000 visitors queued up for free health check-up in Hepatitis B, blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI / body fat and bone density.
