Female urinary incontinence is a common condition in women and it affects 15 to 20% of those over the age of 40. The Centre is managed by a dedicated team of urologists, gynaecologists, experienced continence nurses, physiotherapists and dietitians. Urodynamics studies The Centre, in conjunction with the Department of Health Assessment, is equipped with the most up-to-date Urodynamics machine to perform a wide range of urodynamic studies helping in the correct diagnosis of different types of urinary incontinence. |

| Tension-free Vaginal Tape (TVT)
The Centre introduces a recent advance in the management of women with stress incontinence, namely the insertion of Tension-free Vaginal Tape (TVT). This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure and has been proven to give a 85% -- 90% success rate. It also enjoys the benefit of being a simple, short and safe procedure with few complications and the scar resulted is small as compared with other currently performed surgical treatments. |
